Description
Type providers are one of the most important new features of F# 3.0, allowing users to get strongly typed access to a variety of data sources. We’ll start this tutorial by explaining the main ideas behind type providers and the problems that they solve. Then we’ll demonstrate several type providers to show the range of functionality that they enable. Finally, we’ll go through a step-by-step implementation of a type provider from scratch, highlighting best practices.
