F# allows any of these:

and many others. But yes, you cannt have the curly brace on the first column of the next line, as that's where there next declaration after the 'type' will begin. These are the trade-offs of a whitespace significant language.

Hi,
I just noticed that F# is very pedantic about the way you declare record types. While this
type myrecord = { foo : string; bar : int };;is perfectly legal in OCaml, F# doesn't recognize it as a record because the first brace is on a different line. Seriously? I don't want to be forced to put it on the first line as it doesn't look very aesthetic in my opinion...
Is there a chance to avoid this?
