I definitely agree. Given that everyone on The Hub is .NET proficient, the largest difficulty in F# language learning is the language itself, i.e. the constructs afforded in ML and OCaml as implemented in F# (and those not implemented, e.g. Functors). The next likely difficulty is to learn to leverage the benefit and advantages that F# affords in functional programming patterns and/or in mixed FP/OO or meta-programming and other topics..

To keep notes, the following could be considered:

  1. Use this post as running notes.
  2. Set up a separate thread or forum.
  3. Set up a THC blog with contributor rights for any notes that people want to provide.
  4. A Word document or otherwise that would be hosted in the Files Gallery here or on the DNN side (under documents).
  5. The back of the napkin from lunch today.

I'm hoping that 5 is not a real option.

Early adoption means taking on the pains and trying to find an easier path for others that follow.
