While I agree it would be nice to see F# up there I won’t set too much store by there by it, thier list seems to be riddled with conditions. For example they state “We adopted the definition of programming language from Wikipedia. Based on this definition languages such as HTML and XML are not considered programming languages”, yet postscript is inculded at 50. It also states “same holds for data query language SQL”, yet PL/SQL is 12 and T-SQL is 24. They go to state “ASP and ASP.NET are also not because it is regarded a technique that makes use of other languages such as JavaScript and VBScript or .NET compatible languages”, but is this true of IDL (ranked 25)?

You're completely right about the flaws in the survey, but unfortunately publishers and booksellers base decisions on it, so getting F# in the index -- and hopefully in the top 50 -- could go a long way to getting F# taken seriously outside the F# community.
