That's right - we'll fix that for the next release.

I had a similar problem but much worse (ubuntu) which coredumps after stating that System.Windows.Forms Version=1.0.3300.0 cannot be loaded. I have also tried compiling in a 32 bit environment (linux32) but no joy. Any suggestions or pointers elsewhere would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, probably I am wrong, but you could try to add
/opt/mono-1.2.4/lib/(or elsewhere you have mono library installed) to your
/etc/ld.so.confand then
ldconfig
from root user.

I have seen this problem when using FSI, which tries to load the System.Windows.Forms dll to start an event loop, you can use the --no-gui flag and fsi should start working. Is this were you are seeing the problem?

I'm informed that some users have been able to use FSI with mono on linux without the --no-gui flag, so at a guess System.Windows.Forms works on some distributions but not others, or maybe it requires some other components to be installed to get it working?

If I remember correctly I had to run dos2unix on the install script before it would work.

Andy
