Hi everyone,

I'm having some trouble makeing proper event listeners in F#. I'm attempting to connect to the opentick stock api. The structure of the api is roughly you send an instruction, when the instruction is carried out you get back an event, which you have to listen for.

in C# one listens like this:

static OTClient client = new OTClient();

client.onLogin += new OTLoginEvent(onLogin);

static void onLogin()

{

Console.WriteLine("I see you");

}

In F# I tried to write:

do client.onLogin.Add(fun _ -> onLogin)

and

let onLogin =

Console.WriteLine("I see you")

However I got back the following error in f# interactive:

: The event 'onLogin has a non-standard delegate type and must be accessed using the explicit add_onLogin and remove_onLogin methods for the event.

so I tried:

do client.add_onLogin(fun _ -> onLogin)

which doesn't complain, but never fires onLogin-

(Note: I do indeed log on -One can see this by checking the state of the client directly afterwards.)
