You can always add a new type and tag onto it a resource dependency with your script inside, and use that type in some top-level definition to trigger it - however, this is not quite as elegant as it could be. It would be cleaner if you created the element in question dynamically with an event handler coded in F# - is that something you considered?

Actually that's what I'm doing right now. The code is a simple slideshow available on GitHub and hosted on AppHarbor. What I'm trying to do is put the images in the HTML template and keep only the animation function in the Slideshow module. It seems possible according to the mentioned thread but the sample shows only how to use the control rendering mechanism.
