It would be good if the in-memory assembly could be output back to disk, or rather the script that it originated from.

As far as I know, FSI works in-memory, i.e. in the RAM. If you worked with Reflection.Emit and .NET run-time compilation, you probably know about in-memory assembly.

Thanks, Ramon. I assumed this was the case; I just couldn't find anything that affirmed this, and I haven't finished reading the F# source.
