So is your goal by narrowing the types via a type provider to save on serialization? If so, how would this play with deserialization? (As you won't be able to reconstruct the original objects, only the narrowed ones.)

I have seen many times in large enterprise-applications that (for some reason, wise or otherwise) domain objects are actually made in runtime, somehow involved with reflection.
There are some various reasons like "we need a common ui-controls to handle different domain objects" or "customer has to be able to configure everything".
The major problem with this is that strong typing and compiler-time error checks are lost. Also it will usually cause some minor problems like performance-hit, manual error-checking-code, and a lot of non-functional mapping-layers.
So, could F# 3.0 type-providers help with this?
For more concrete example:
I have an object-graph with 5 types, having 80 properties each. I'm not allowed to change them. The serialization of 3000 instances is huge. I would like to make a type-provider to narrow the types as I would really need only 10 properties and then some runtime-configurable extra-properties. I have many other options to solve this case, but usually every solution comes with major drawbacks.
