FP Days 2012 / Concurrent Haskell

Please RSVP for instructions on how to join the event.

Programming increasingly these days involves building systems that interact with multiple external sources of events and data simultaneously, and concurrency is an essential tool for building such systems in a modular way. In this tutorial the speaker will introduce the mechanisms and concepts for programming with concurrency in Haskell, from basic thread creation and communication, to building gradually more complex concurrent abstractions. The examples will include real-world scenarios such as downloading multiple resources from the network, and building multithreaded servers.
